Latinx Heritage Month ends with a big celebration that is known as the Closing Ceremony Showcase, which is composed of a fashion show with many performances in between. This year, the theme is “La Jungla Indomable: Reclaiming our ancestral roots”, and will happen on October 27th, 2018. Our theme is about reclaiming and embracing the history of our ancestors. It is about understanding, through a non-Western point of view, the Earthly physical and spiritual connections to our roots that shape who we are as a Latinx community. We as a community, are unapologetically fierce and untamable because we refuse to be buried by our past, instead we rise in the face of adversity.
