This class meets Thursday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:30 pm except February 21.

This class is part of our Write From the Heart program. Motivated by topics that are close to their hearts, participants will experience the exciting growth of narrative from concept to execution as they put their ideas on paper and then see them brought to life in images or on stage.

Participants in this class create dynamic, engaging comics through the study of figure and environmental drawing, layout design, and other essential elements of visual storytelling. Explore strategies for creating characters, drawing figures and expressions, designing a page, and framing scenes to create compelling graphic narratives! Build stories from thumbnails to complete, inked and colored pages. True or invented, silly or sad, participants learn the tools to bring their stories to life on the page. No prior drawing experience required—all skill levels are encouraged to enroll!

Student Exhibit: Sat March 16, 11:00 am
