With dark humor and goofball precision, Minor Theater (NYC) camps out on the underbelly of pop culture. They will develop Pathetic, a free adaptation of Racine’s Phèdre, done in the style of a teen drama. The work is set in a small depressed Texas border town, harboring vexed issues of “foreignness,” crime, and incarceration, all ideas central to the Phaedra myth. BAC Space Resident Artist
