This month at Guild Hall Game Night we will be playing Bohnanza, designed by Uwe Rosenberg. Bohnanza is a game about bean farming, and it is one of my favorite games of all time. In Bohnanza, players trade, plant, grow, harvest, and sell beans to make as much money as possible. The heart of this game is haggling and arguing with your friends over whose beans are more valuable and shouting things like "Who's got a green bean for my two wax beans?" This is one of the best negotiation/trading games out there, and shows that great games can be made about anything... Even beans.
