Winter Rhythms marks the 10th year of Urban Stages bringing the talents of well-known and up-and-coming artists to the attention of the New York theater community! Cabaret, musical theater, jazz and more take the stage in 20 unique shows with over 100 artists from December 12 to December 22, 2018. All proceeds benefit Urban Stages’ Outreach Program which brings art, theater and education to schools and libraries across New York City.

Known for her humor and her generosity, Christine Lavin is a favorite among fans and other performers in the contemporary folk music world. Christine comes to Winter Rhythms with her guitar, her beautiful voice, her witty and tender songs, some artful videos to accompany her songs, and quite possibly her baton-twirling and her knitting! All Christine Lavin concerts are Christine Lavin and Friends, because even when she has no musical guests, she makes her audience feel like friends. One friend joining for sure is Christine’s new friend, the gifted singer/songwriter Katherine Rondeau. Two others are the multi-talented Australian singer and voice-over artist (Australia’s Siri!) Karen Jacobsen and the Grammy-winning songwriter Julie Gold. Produced by Tom Toce.

Tom Toce (Producer), Douglas Mills (Sound Design), Kim T. Sharp (Lighting Design), Victoria Ordin (Production Manager).

Frances Hill (Founder/Artistic Director), Antoinette Mullins (Development & Literary Director), Olga Devyatisilnaya (Financial Administrator/Company Manager), Ilanna Saltzman (Outreach Program Director), Bara Swain (Creative Consultant), Vincent Scott (School Consultant) & Peter Napolitano (Winter Rhythms Consultant).
