A boot-camp introduction to the basics of "hardshoe" Irish step dancing - some previous Irish or percussive dance experience (tap, flamenco, etc.) is recommended. Dancers will learn the fundamentals of Irish percussive dance, starting with posture and alignment, conditioning, basic sound patterns, and progressing to treble reels, and jigs.
Please note this is not at Irish Arts Center
Students should wear shorts or workout pants and a t-shirt. For footwear: Sneakers, Ballet shoes, or Ghillies are best.
