Where does LGBTQ+ culture come from? How did gay men and women find their voice in the cultural fabric of the Western World? Where did some of the iconic images, idols, and colors originate?

The Quarryland Men's Chorus will become the teachers and you the student as they present music which explores, educates, and entertains. The audience will be taken from the mind of the first "gay man," through our modern history up to the present-day status of a culture in search of an appropriate way to assimilate without losing their unique customs and conventions.

Many original works by acclaimed Tony-Award nominated lyricist Michael Korie will be presented to illuminate gay history, as well as very identifiable works such as "YMCA" and "Firework." How best to teach about gay history than through music?

Doors for these general admission performances will open 30 minutes ahead of time. If not sold out, tickets will be available to purchase at the door by cash, check, or credit card.A limited number of $10 tickets in a secondary seating section will be available. Children 12 and under are free, but still require a ticket.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets purchased online or over the phone for either show will be available at the BCT Box Office until 4pm on Saturday. After that time, remaining will-call tickets will be available at the door to the show.

Please note that the venue for this show has changed. The concert will take place in St Mark's United Methodist Church.
