Winter Rhythms marks the 10th year of Urban Stages bringing the talents of well-known and up-and-coming artists to the attention of the New York theater community! Cabaret, musical theater, jazz and more take the stage in 20 unique shows with over 100 artists from December 12 to December 22, 2018. All proceeds benefit Urban Stages’ Outreach Program which brings art, theater and education to schools and libraries across New York City.

Bistro Award winner & multiple MAC Award nominee, Deb Berman, brings her highly acclaimed new show to Winter Rhythms at Urban Stages. A sassy, swingin’ celebration of life’s high and blows. “When I was growing up, there was always music in the house. That’s when I first heard, Ella, Sarah, Peggy and Carmen. I couldn’t help but sing along . . . and I’ve never stopped . . .” (Deb Berman – Still Swingin’). Join Deb with her Musical Director/Accompanist, Gregory Toroian, Bassist, Tom Hubbard and Drummer, Vito Lesczak. Direction by Geoff Stoner.

Having just completed her run in November at Pangea, here are a few quotes from recent reviews:

“Deb’s appealing approach is filled with her own grounded, warm, humorous character. This well put together show feels absolutely bespoke… Musicians work beautifully together . . . A worthy and entertaining evening.” Alix Cohen – Sandi Durell’s Theater Pizzazz

“Deb Berman transforms every song she sings into something unique - - and uniquely delicious. . . The show adds up to a life retrospective of this assured, mature artist who, having achieved the dubious honor of a monthly social security check payout, is unquestionably Still Swingin’ ” Jennie Litt – Cabaret Hotspot
