It’s toasty warm at the bar for a half-dozen Thursdays this winter, as WHBPAC brings some great and affordable nights out to Eastern Long Island. Join us for three great evenings of stand-up comedy, or three epic rock-show documentaries, and even a Valentine’s night classic film. Baby, it’s warm inside, with discounted drinks, $10 movie tickets, and rollicking nights of comedy for just $25 a ticket. Celebrate being a local all winter long and get toasted with your PAC friends nearly every Thursday. It’s the best way to survive winter at the shore!

On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the beginning of the Summer of Love, the first Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade’s spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. Monterey featured career-making performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, but they were just a few among a wildly diverse cast that included Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, the Who, The Byrds, Hugh Masekela, and the extraordinary Ravi Shankar. With his characteristic verite style, D. A. Pennebaker captured it all, immortalizing the festival on film and all its glorious moments that have become legend.
