The Arts & Humanities Council is proud to host Granfalloon: A Kurt Vonnegut Convergence, a festival of arts and culture inspired by the life and writings of Kurt Vonnegut and shaped by the unique community spirit of Bloomington, Indiana, held May 9-11, 2019. Granfalloon is a truly unique event that connects the IU campus with the Bloomington community through music, comedy, art, theater, scholarship, and other creative activities.
Highlights of Granfalloon 2019 include public events on writing, art, and activism featuring acclaimed author and editor Dave Eggers; a city-wide music festival featuring performances from Neko Case, Khruangbin, Parquet Courts, Durand Jones & The Indications, Sudan Archives, and Barrie; theatrical productions; academic panels and public lectures; archivist presentations; and community arts activities.
