In the countryside, the beauty of the lake draws people to it like alchemy, like the comfort of a mother's embrace. But what does it take to get away, to live your own life, to realize a vision of your future? And at what cost do we disentangle ourselves from comfort? In The Seagull, the opposing trajectories of Nina and Konstantin, two young people trying to find their way in life, answer these questions and ask others. Can we truly see each other? How much of what we see is real? How deep of a connection can we really make?
