One-Day Workshop: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 (6:00pm - 9:00pm)

Ages 18+

The Cold Read Audition workshop will replicate the actual audition experience, designed to teach specific skills that will consistently result in a successful reading. It will cover how to prepare, how to make strong choices, how to take charge of the audition, and identifying habits or technical problems that may be keeping you from booking. Direction and feedback will be given to students as they perform their scripts on-camera in a real audition setting.



About Chris Neville:

Chris Neville is the Director of The Actor’s Loft in Worcester Massachusetts where he teaches classes of all levels and ages. You can also find him teaching classes and workshops for Boston Casting’s Media Performance in Boston.

Chris grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts where he graduated from Worcester State College. He then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Chris trained for years under the tutelage of his Acting coach, Aaron Speiser and was a member of the Aaron Speiser Acting Studio’s Masters Class. Aaron Speiser is the acting coach for Will Smith and Virginia Madsen, both of whom have been nominated for Academy Awards with Mr. Speiser’s help. He has also coached Jennifer Lopez, Gerard Butler, LL Cool J, Mandy Moore, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) to name a few.

Chris later joined Anthony Gilardi in the development of the Anthony Gilardi Acting Studio in Hollywood CA where Chris taught and coached actors from 2012 - 2014. For the past 4 years Chris has been the Director of the Actor’s Loft in Worcester and has been running his own acting workshops throughout Massachusetts, including Boston and Hopkinton. For the past 4 years he has also taught theater in the Worcester Public Schools after school program and created the Chris Neville Acting Workshops Performing Arts Scholarship Program, making performing arts training available to students that otherwise would be unable to afford it.
