19CU1: The MaMa Project, Terraform
Friday, February 22, 2019 at 6:00PM

Glicker-Milstein Theatre
Barnard Campus
New York, NY 10027

he MaMa Project is a full evening-length, student choreographed dance piece. This year's MaMa Project is titled Terraform and directed by Melody Tai, Columbia College '19. The work draws aesthetic inspiration from kintsugi and natural landscapes in order to explore the transformative process of breaking, mending, and rebirth. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The MaMa Project is a satellite dance organization supported by Orchesis, Columbia University's largest dance group. The MaMa Project is an outlet for a chosen choreographer(s) to explore and expand their creative process by developing their own complete evening-length work. It is an opportunity for dancers to be in a cast of a smaller size and a more intimate nature. Collaboratively, the group creates a new work through process-based choreographic methods that allow for originality, catharsis, and creativity.
