In poetry and prose, the work of Jorge Luis Borges is mysterious and accessible, epic and intimate. This world-shaping Argentinian writer fused the compulsively readable elements of pulp material with fascinating intellectual subject matter. Borges explored a wide variety of topics across stories, poetry, novels, and essays that have garnered international acclaim. His influence can still be felt in the works of renowned writers around the world. Latin American creative giants Rodrigo Rey Rosa and Rodrigo Fresán are among the contemporary literary figures who owe a debt to Borges. In this remarkable event, the two authors talk to Inmaculada Lara Bonilla and Claudia Salazar Jiménez about discuss the meaning of their predecessor’s legacy, and how it influenced their own amazing works.
