John Rink, lecture and concert introduction

The recital is preceded by the first of two lectures on Chopin by University of Cambridge Chopin scholar John Rink who will also introduce the recital. His lecture topic is called “Chopin in Dialogue: Tracing Line.”

This concert marks the Florida debut of Ji Young Lim, a 24-year-old violinist from Seoul, South Korea who won top prize in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels in 2015. She has also won the Ishikawa Music Award in Japan, the Concerto Competition at the International Great Mountains Music Festival in Korea, and the Eurasia Music Competition in Japan among others.
