Well, join Onyx Hip-Hop Dance Troupe for Columbia's First Annual Intercollegiate Hip-Hop Dance Festival in New York City, a high-octane night of exhilarating hip-hop performances from some of New York's finest collegiate hip-hop dance teams that you do not want to miss! Performing guest teams include Live Dance Crew (St. John's University), Fordham Flava (Fordham University), Culture Shock Dance Troupe (SUNY New Paltz), Raw Elementz (Columbia University) and CU Generation (Columbia University), interspersed throughout with fierce, original Onyx performances from all through this season! Please pick up tickets at TIC and enter through the Broadway entrance of Lerner. Born at Columbia University, ONYX is a NYC-based collective of empowered women united by a love for hip-hop dance. As an all-women’s dance collective, we aim to empower women through dance and build a supportive creative community for women at Columbia University. The team environment we cultivate champions leadership, diversity, community and teamwork, skills that prepare our dancers well for success beyond the walls of the studio. Our primary goal is to use our skills as dancers to inspire women on and off campus to embrace their individuality, beauty and power.
