Kids Play by Reese Thompson
The not-for-profit Recognize Theater uses the weARlive app to explore issues of gender and sexuality. Jenn, 13, wants two things from God: one, to be pretty, and two, for Andrea to be her BFF. When Andrea catches the attention of Jenn’s obnoxious step-brother, Derek, Jenn’s world is sent into a tailspin. Using the app’s face-sync technology, the older actors will appear on screen as pre-teens and seamlessly age over time to their mid-twenties, emphasizing the gap between our self-image and how the world sees us.
Cast: Gretchen Poole & Elizabeth Saunders Directed By Kristin Heckler

Each week featuring a different musical guest!
Week 1 - Johnny Butler and AnA Collaborations
Grammy-award winning saxophonist Johnny Butler and dance-based production collective AnA Collaborations have teamed up on a new interdisciplinary piece that brings together live electro-acoustic musical performance and dance. Set to a score of polyphonic soundscapes solely from a saxophone and an algorithmic sound effect processing system, the piece travels through a series of abstract and visceral environments following the movement of both musician and dancer as they navigate these worlds and shift character. Music: Johnny Butler Choreography/Direction: AnA Collaborations (Alex Jenkins and Audrey Rachelle) Performers: Johnny Butler, Alex Jenkins (June 9: Johnny Butler with Audrey Rachelle)

Week 2 - Red Rainbow (Anne Rhodes)
Red Rainbow is Rhodes's solo voice and electronics project, in which she uses variety of vocal styles, extended techniques, and bel canto vocalises to create loops that are at once noisy and lyrical, dissonant and harmonious.

Week 3 - Sway - Autonomous Music Performance
Sway is an interactive live electronic processing environment, created by multi-instrumentalist and composer Carl Testa, who will compose and perform an original set of electro-acoustic experimental music. As Testa plays the stand up bass, Sway’s processor analyzes the tone, density and amplitude of his performance and generates a dynamic musical collage that responds to changes in real-time.

The event will also feature interactive art and storytelling exhibits from some of Technodramatists’ friends and creative partners.
