Draw inspiration from landscapes, fresh fruit, or even a photo while exploring the expressive qualities of watercolor and other water-based media. Participants focus on composition and effective use of value, color, and a variety of glazing and painting approaches for impact without being limited to depicting reality. This class is geared for watercolorists and other painters looking to improve their painting technique and create sparkling, spontaneous work consistently and with confidence. Demonstrations, individual instruction, and critiques are included. Participants may work on suggested projects or one of their own choosing. Materials list will be posted online prior to the start of class.
