MacGuffin Musical Theatre Camp: Middlers presents Shrek the Musical is based on the DreamWorks Animation Studios movie and the William Steig children's book of the same name. Book by Heather Tech. Music and lyrics by Jeanine Tesori. The musical tells the story of Shrek and Donkey who, in order to save Shrek's overcrowded swamp from the storybook characters have to rescue Princess Fiona from her high castle tower and a dragon and take to her new kingdom, where she will become the Queen of Duloc.
