This richly illustrated talk discusses the evolution of and relationships between multiple percussive dance forms on the continent, including Appalachian and African American flatfoot and clogging, Irish sean-nós and step dance, North Indian Kathak, Quebecois, Ottawa Valley, Cape Breton, and tap. Featuring a short demo by dancers from Darrah Carr Dance.

Musician and folklorist Dr. Mick Moloney presents the third edition of Intercultural Connections, his popular lecture series exploring the contributions of Irish artists in a global context.
