Charles Troy Presents
The Creation of She Loves Me
Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:30PM

Skokie Theatre
7924 Lincoln Ave
Skokie, IL 60077

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this under-appreciated 1963 show by Bock & Harnick, who would write "Fiddler on the Roof" the next year. It's the perfect musical: perfectly integrating dialogue and song; perfectly balancing the traditions of musical comedy and operetta; perfectly combining head and heart…and perfectly charming! See and hear how this classic was adapted from its source, the wonderful 1940 Ernst Lubitsch-Jimmy Stewart film "The Shop Around the Corner" (which also served as the basis for the 1998 Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan film "You've Got Mail”). Charles Troy, popular speaker and presenter, is an acclaimed musical theatre historian and graphic designer. Over the past seven years, Charles has created over 50 multi-media presentations and had presented his work to countless local and national audiences. His work has also been published in The Sondheim Review.
