Belle Reve
Belle Rêve is a troupe that includes San Diego improvisors who learned the improvised Tennessee Williams from Nick Armstrong at Camp Improv Yosemite in 2017. The troupe is a splinter off of the Infirmary Players, the troupe born out of CIU Yosemite. Looking to perform the form more consistently, and still honoring the Infirmary Players as it is, Amber, Joe, Niki, and Michael formed Belle Rêve and invited John and Jen to round out the group.
Ya Hussies
Ya Hussies wants to make you laugh, gasp, and call your mom afterwards. Michelle, Angellyne, and Taylor are pretty little hussies. After meeting at Finest City Improv (San Diego, CA), they decided to dive into a team boobs first. They have since played at Femprovisor Fest (2018), the Seattle Festival of Improv Theatre (2019), the Downtown Vegas Improv Festival (2019) and the San Diego IMPRIDE Festival (2019). The trio gets character descriptions from the audience to perform a character-driven pretty flower. Ya Hussies wants to make you laugh, gasp, and call your mom afterwards.
MuChuChu
Jacque Arend and Xchel Hernandez Zendejas have shared the stage for many years building an amazing chemistry and trust. They both attended the iO Chicago Summer Intensive in 2005 and returned to Phoenix performing together immediately, by chance, as the myth is that Xchel would turn to stone if he made friends that summer. In 2006 the two of them along with four other members formed The Light Rail Pirates and performed and rehearsed regularly for a solid four years.
In 2012 through a substitution in a Cagematch at The Torch Theatre, MuChuChu was born. That summer MuChuChu found its voice as a two person Harold. Jacque & Xchel use high energy, strong commitment and tons of risk taking to achieve this lofty goal. Their attempts brought great success as they had a nine week winning streak until Xchel moved away. Now they are two star crossed improvisors longing for a day when they can re-unite on stage to bring back the electrical charge that is MuChuChu.
