This class meets Monday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:30 pm except January 20 and February 17.
This class is part of our Experiment With... program. Participants will develop new skills or further their confidence in a favorite area! From drawing to sculpting and creative movement to Shakespeare, participants can experiment with a world of artistic possibilities.
Masks can be so many things! They can alter what part of the face the audience sees, hide what an actor does not want seen, or transform an actor completely! Participants construct their own masks of all kinds, drawing inspiration from cultures around the world as well as various types of performing arts. Masks are then incorporated into a final performance created collaboratively among members of the class! This active class is a great opportunity to explore both visual art and performance at the same time!
