The Repertory Scenes series is the New Opera Workshop's annual Fall production. This semester, we present the most diverse program we have ever assembled, with two 20th century American masterpieces forming the core of our production: Copland’s The Tender Land and Bernstein’s Candide. The rest of our scenes are a tour of the history of opera since the 17th century, including Monteverdi’s radical L’Incoronazione di Poppea, Mozart’s dark comedy Così fan tutte, and Offenbach’s haunting Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
