Tough Begonias - Inspired by Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, Beaches and Boys on the Side, Tough Begonias is an improvised play about the strong female friendships that get you through life. Laugh until you cry and cry until you laugh with this devastatingly talented female cast. They are no delicate flowers.

Ratas de Dos Patas- Meet Ratas De Dos Patas! Four fierce teachers made up of Maestra Chirota, Maestra Chismosa, Maestra Chingona, and Mestra Picante who are here to teach you some life lessons with one phrase in Spanish! Using an audience suggestion, these maestras translate the phrase into Spanish and use it to create larger than life scenes that will have you ja ja-ing until you cry happy tears!

Ratas De Dos Patas (RDDP) is a collective of four badass boss women who have taken the Chicago improv scene by storm. Marilet Martinez, Kendra Jamaica, Jessi Realzola, and Abigail Piñon make up this fierce group, and they have been featured in Time Out Chicago, Chicago Sun Times, and Chicago Tribune.  They were nominated for Outstanding Improv Ensemble by the Alliance of Latinx Theatre Artists and performed in the Melanin Festival at Second City. RDDP performed to a sold-out crowd at Steppenwolf's Lookout Series: Las Locas presents Look Out for Locas! and have had five successful runs at the Annoyance Theatre in addition to Chicago performances at the Bentwood Festival at iO, Chicago Funny Women Festival (Stage 773), the Compass Festival (STL), and they were part of the Chicago Women's Funny Festival's very first all-Spanish speaking slot. Performances also include a sold-out Dia De Los Muertos show combining cultural ritual with improv, a Loteria-themed fundraiser for the Chicago Period Project, and Laugh for Love, a fundraiser for RAICES.

Ratas De Dos Patas intentionally curates their weekly shows to feature POC, LGBTQ and differently-abled performers. They have performed and taught workshops in San Francisco and Austin, TX.  Later this year they will be producing their first sketch show inspired by la reina Selena Quintanilla.  You can follow their journey on Instagram (@ratas_de_2_patas) and Facebook.
