The Hunter Heartbeat method is a series of sensory drama games that utilize the poetry of Shakespeare's plays and larger than life characters to engage the social and communicative barriers of autism. This class is designed for neurodiverse learners to develop imaginative play skills, engage positively with their peers and learn how to work together as an ensemble. They will also receive guidance on how to connect with their unique body and voice. All of these skills are built through playing games inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest; a story of a magical island where lost strangers discover a new home, wizards battle monsters, and spirits and clowns create mischief and comedy. *Students new to Red Kite will be invited to a meet and greet before the session begins.
