Tennessee Talks: Revolution
Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 10:30AM

WaterFront Park

Provincetown, MA 02657

Tennessee Williams was outspoken in his politics. You wouldn’t know that from his plays, which subtly sabotaged the status quo. You would know it from his prose: his public condemnation in a New York Cathedral of the Viet Nam War, his NY Times letters decrying censorship, and many many interviews.

Jeremy Lawrence has assembled Williams’ calls for revolution, and will deliver them in Williams’ voice.

"It is time for the voices of dissent to be heard. These voices must swell in number and not be repressed by terror of 'patriotic' reprisal." – 1972

“Jeremy Lawrence’s uncanny and unsentimental depiction of Tennessee Williams as a playwright and man at the end of his life is thrilling, eerie, on target and life-affirming.” – John Guare
