"You should be a stand-up comic!"

How many times have your friends and family said that you're SO FUNNY and that you should be sharing your sense of humor on stage with everyone? Yet, for whatever reason, you convince yourself stand-up is a scary prospect. No worries - this Stand-Up Comedy class will take all of the scary out of doing stand-up.

Boston Casting's five-week virtual class will give you a basic, usable tool-kit for creating your own well-received stand-up comedy routines. You can save yourself years of painful experimentation and go straight for the funny.

In five weeks of online courses, you will learn how to take your thoughts, experiences, and observations about life and blend them with your unique sense of humor to produce brilliant stand-up comedy. You'll learn stage presence and proper delivery of your jokes, as well as how to get your comedy career started. Then you'll finish the class with a final virtual performance!

Is this class for you? The course is geared towards folks who have never been on stage but really want to give it a go, or comedians at the beginning of their career.

Stand-up is a valuable showcase for all types of performers or public speakers and can quickly become an empowering form of self-expression. With most things being remote, learning to perform virtually has become such a useful tool you can use personally and professionally.

About the instructor:

Over twenty years ago in Boston, Mike Koutrobis began what would become an outstanding comedy career. Mike's witty and sarcastic commentary has brought him to clubs, colleges, and corporations throughout North America, appearing alongside some of the top headliners in the world.

Before becoming a full-fledged comedian, Mike was an accomplished rock musician, Ringling Brothers trained clown, MMA ring announcer, and one of New England's most popular wedding DJ's. The result of this eclectic lifestyle proves there is no situation this award-winning comedian can't handle.
