Mark Twain House Tour
See the interior and hear the family stories!
Monday, June 14, 2021 at 12:20PM
The Mark Twain House & Museum
385 Farmington Avenue
* Tour of the house is a guided experience. The time on your ticket is the time the tour of the house steps off. Tour capacity is limited to nine guests, and the drop down menus will show how many spaces are still available for this time.*
The tour of the house is a guided experience that takes you through the beautifully restored stick style home of the author, Samuel Langhorne Clemens, also known as Mark Twain. Clemens and his wife, Olivia, built this home in which they lived for 17 years raising their three daughters, Susy, Clara, and Jean. Our stellar historical interpreter will take you through the house while sharing stories about the family's life and times. The house is shown only by guided tour, and an advanced reservation is strongly encouraged.
Tour capacity is limited to nine guests per tour. A tour ticket includes entrance to the exhibits and film in our Webster Bank Museum Center. The tour itself takes about an hour, but we encourage you to allow at least 2 hours to get the fullest value of what we have to offer.
Tickets are timed. If you miss your time we will not be able to add you to a different tour time. Tickets are non-refundable and a service fee is applied, but the price is less if you buy your ticket online than it would be in person.
You will be asked to wear a mask throughout visit. If you are experiencing cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath we request you postpone for another day.
Don't forget Harriet Beecher Stowe lived next door to Mark Twain. The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center is now open. You can learn more and buy tickets for the Stowe tour by visiting the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center website.
