Clemens Conversations: How To Reform A Conscience
Wednesday July 12 at 12 PM (Noon) ET
$8 per virtual connection

Mark Twain described Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as “a book of mine where a sound heart and a deformed conscience come into collision and conscience suffers defeat.” This 75 minute document-based discussion considers how Twain came to recognize the way his own conscience was “deformed” with regards to racism and white supremacy, and explores the ways he successfully – and not-so-successfully – worked to reform it.

Clemens Conversations are hosted on Zoom. Once you purchase your ticket, keep an eye out for an emailed receipt, which will contain a link to register for the Zoom session.

In order to facilitate free conversation among attendees, these sessions are not recorded and will not be available for viewing after the event.
