Greeks and Geeks is a presentation of two new works-in-process: Case Studies: A New Kinsey Report Written by Justin Halle Directed by Dmitri Barcomi Dramaturgy by Dylan Alexander Gurrera Starring Nancy Nogood Case Studies: A New Kinsey Report takes the legendary Kinsey Report on sexual behavior and brings it to life as audience-generated data mediated through onstage movement. Kinsey’s research on human sexual behavior quickly became a bestseller, ennobling Kinsey as one of the “fathers of the sexual revolution”-- but does scientific inquiry of the 1950s meet the needs of contemporary queerness? Part drag show, part TED talk, part truth-or-dare; our scientific host, Nancy Nogood, drags past research into contemporary culture. Through salacious anonymous surveys, genre defying lectures and lip syncs, and audience participation; Case Studies straddles the boundaries between the scientific and the sexual. n.b. This performance is best enjoyed with a smartphone that can access the internet. Cuck, Cuck, Bull Written and Directed by Spencer Whale Dramaturgy by Dezi Tibbs Cuck, Cuck, Bull drags the perverse mythic tale of inventor Daedalus and his half-man, half-bull Minotaur into the 21st Century. A tech-savvy gay couple searches for something to reinvigorate a stale dynamic and gets lost in the labyrinth of the Internet. They stumble into gay cuckold culture and invite a mysterious third into their relationship, and secrets and lies grow as they get sucked deeper and deeper into a game that threatens to tear them apart. Perhaps literally. This outrageous exploration of a modern queer subculture explores the dark side of mainstream acceptance and to what lengths couples will go to maintain a sense of the taboo. An excerpt of this new play will be performed as a staged reading.
