A Future of Plants presents recent paintings by Olivia Baldwin. Executed during the pandemic, Baldwin’s abstract paintings interweave remnants of past work with dense pigment and shadow drawings to investigate ways of marking time. Baldwin is a Providence-based visual artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, and sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in venues throughout the United States, including Zürcher Gallery, A.I.R. Gallery, Boston University, and Miami University. Baldwin teaches painting in Babson College’s Division of Arts and Humanities.
