LIMITED CAPACITY OF 40. Registration is required. Spots are still available. FREE and open to the public with priority for Babson, Olin, and Wellesley students. Subject to change based on college protocol and health guidance.

In this ninety-minute workshop, participants will learn and practice the fundamental skills involved in “hand and rod” style puppetry. From starting with the basic anatomy of a moving mouth puppet to performing a series of exercises, participants will leave knowing the basics of what it takes to make a puppet come to life.

DLUX Puppets is a Las Vegas based production company that specializes in puppetry and puppetry related services for Film, Television, Music Videos, Advertising, and Theatre from creating custom puppets, to producing digital content, to performing innovative multimedia stage shows. Founder and Artistic Director Derek Lux is an award-winning puppet designer, puppet builder, puppeteer, singer, and actor. He has built puppets for television, music videos, short films, and theater. Lauren Lux is the Education Director and Co-founder of DLUX Puppets. With a degree in Theater and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley, Lauren has an extensive background in the performing arts working as a professional actress, singer, and voice over artist.

During their residency from October 20-23, DLUX Puppets will be visiting classes, hosting workshops, and performing.
