In August of 1936, George and Ira Gershwin boarded a plane to Hollywood to write two Fred Astaire movie musicals, “Shall We Dance” and “A Damsel in Distress”. Little did they know it would be the last year of George’s life. You’ll learn the whole shocking story of this fateful twelve months, interspersed and leavened with abundant video clips of the numbers from these two movie classics.
