How to Create Massive Change and Definitely Solve the World’s Problems: An Introductory Course is an interdisciplinary one wo(man) show which mixes comedy, dance, video and audience interaction. The piece follows Mull It-Over as he teaches a seminar on how to solve the world’s problems. It is structured around a PowerPoint presentation with videos, dances and audience interaction woven throughout. His presentation is interrupted by Rita, his girlfriend who is looking for him because he is supposed to meet her parents for their 3-year anniversary. The piece confronts the ways that we deal with the myriad of crises we are facing, political, environmental, social and personal. Mull’s fear and inability to manage even his own relationship forces him to ask the question “What kind of space do we need to create for change to occur?” Co-created and directed by Deanna Fleysher.
