“My True Love!” is a wildly comedic and sharp-witted fairytale that breaks down the fairytale stereotypes of love. The show deals primarily with the theme of consent, and also touches on gender, coming to terms with one’s identity, and the perils of perfectionism. Follow Cedarella– a witch who identifies as a Princess— as she runs away from home to seek her One True Love in a Magic Land called… “Magicland!” Cedarella first meets an Extreme Gardener named Hunter from Nebraska whom she likes but rejects because he is honestly a bit too much! Next, Cedarella meets a Perfect Prince, only to discover that he’s an evil robot designed by her witch aunts to steal the love from her heart. Finally Cedarella realizes she loves Hunter, because with him she is able to be the truest version of herself, and in him, she finds her kiss of True Love. Run-time: 100 minutes. Ages 8- 80.
