UNCUT Territory presented by DUO BEAL/SCHOENFELD is an exploration of the double bass featuring three newly composed pieces by Adrienne Schoenfeld & Jack Beal. The program showcases the versatility of the double bass, delving into the rich sounds and history of the instrument through a dynamic repertoire which spans centuries of musical practice. THe duo reimagines folk music as well as canonical standards by Marcello and Gliere, presenting historical selections alongside a more modern view of instrument through the likes of Oliveros's textual scores and the pieces commissioned for this program.
