ODD MAN OUT
by Martín Bondone
Directed by Carlos Armesto, Facundo Bogarín, Martín Bondone
ODD MAN OUT is an immersive experience in complete darkness in which the audience hears, smells, tastes and feels the story of Alberto, a blind jazz musician traveling home from New York to Buenos Aires after decades of self-exile. As a young man in the '60s Alberto gets a scholarship to New York City. His girlfriend eventually joins him, but she is ultimately drawn back to Argentina and its troubled politics. The passengers' ears, noses, skin and palates are engaged in an immersive journey of love, prejudice and fears that were left behind.
Runtime: 120 minutes, no intermission
Content Warning: There is smoke, sounds of gunfire, sounds of people being waterboarded, sounds violence. The entire play is performed in complete darkness.
