We're all in this together! The students of
Boston Green Academy are excited to bring Disney Channel's smash hit
High School Musical to life on the Modern Theatre stage.
Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

About Boston Green Academy Theater:
Empowering Students Through the Performing Arts
Our theater program ignites creativity, builds confidence, and fosters community by providing dynamic, inclusive, and innovative performing arts education. Through exploration of dance, drama, design, and acting, we empower students to express their unique voices and develop skills that prepare them for success on stage, in the classroom, and beyond.
Program Overview
Welcome to our vibrant Theater Program, now in its third exciting year! Located in Brighton, our 7-12th grade Horace Mann Charter School proudly offers a comprehensive performing arts experience. From starring roles in our annual school musical to hands-on courses in Dance, Drama/Improv, Acting, and Theater Production and Design, our students take center stage as creators, collaborators, and changemakers.
Our arts program doesn’t stop at theater! With opportunities in Choir, Media Arts, General Music, and Band, we ensure every student finds their creative voice. Through the arts, students develop essential life skills—such as teamwork, resilience, and innovative thinking—while fostering a lifelong love of learning and a deep sense of belonging.
Vision for Student Outcomes
We envision our graduates as confident, creative, and compassionate individuals who excel academically, thrive socially, and lead with empathy. Whether pursuing the arts professionally or drawing on their creative training in other fields, our students leave the program ready to take on the world with courage, adaptability, and an unwavering belief in the power of their own potential.
