In this unique class, we’ll teach you what it means to be an actor. Through improv exercises, film, tv, and commercial script work, and mock auditions, students will learn all that goes in to being an actor, from character creation to scene study and beyond. Learn how to make strong character choices, explore the difference between “stage” and “screen” acting, and discover how to switch between the two. As an actor, it is important to understand everyone’s role on a film set, so you will also get the chance to play director and casting associate during a mock audition.
Tweens will enhance their self-expression and observational skills, learn how to prepare a strong audition (in record time), and gain self-confidence, both as individuals and as part of a team. Whether you want to be part of the new “Hollywood East,” or you just want to make new friends and have fun, then this is the summer session for you!
