Massachusetts is a vibrant hub for film, television, and commercial production, and it’s essential for aspiring actors to be prepared for the opportunities ahead! This summer, join us to learn what it takes to shine in auditions and roles. Through creative improvisation, movement exercises, and script work, you’ll develop the skills, confidence, and discipline needed for both stage and on-camera performances.
Teens will enhance their self-expression and observational skills, tackle cold readings, explore character development and script analysis, and practice memorization techniques while learning to collaborate in ensembles. By the end of the week, you'll feel more equipped to audition for professional projects in film, television, commercials, and theater.
In the final session, students will have the chance to perform in a real audition setting and receive valuable critiques for improvement. The class will also include a seminar on the business of acting, covering essential topics like finding work, impressing casting directors, and crafting standout headshots and resumés.
