Tie dye a cotton long-sleeved tee shirt using Japanese style Indigo Dyeing. Explore the possibilities of Indigo with submersive dyeing and Shibori, a Japanese resist-dyeing technique that involves twisting cloth and binding it to create a vast array of patterns in the fabric. At the end of the workshop, unfold to reveal the stunning one-of-a-kind patterns.

Long-sleeved tee shirts will be provided as part of the workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own items to dye.

Dyeable fabrics that work best for this process are wool, silk (100% animal protein fibers) 100% cotton, hemp, or bamboo fibers.

Make sure to wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting some splashes of blue on!
