In order to get an agent, you first have to book work on your own. Learn how to do that, and then how to get an agent.
In this class, you will learn how to get acting work on your own through the most widely used industry platforms, such as Actors Access, Casting Networks, and IMDb. Tips on how to best present your marketing tools will be provided to optimize your profiles, so that you stand out when submitting for roles.
We will then delve into how to use these websites to attract an agent and/or manager, the other ways to get signed, and how to find the right reps for you. We will also cover how to maintain good relationships with your representatives, casting directors, and other industry players, to book more work, as well as how to maintain a professional online presence to increase your chances at success.
This class is great for both newer actors and experienced New England actors, who want to know how to submit for work in other markets, such as New York and L.A. It is also good for those who have been working on their own and are ready to get repped in Boston and beyond! Adult actors and parents/guardians of child actors are welcome.
