Five Grains of Rice delves into themes of trust, betrayal, and the sacrifices women often make in relationships. The narrative centers on Jayant, a scientist, and his wife Ela, an NGO worker, whose seemingly harmonious life in Delhi is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of Damini, Jayant's ex-girlfriend. A provocative bet concerning Damini's ability to identify the origin of their biryani by tasting just five grains of rice sets off a chain of events that challenges the couple's trust and integrity.
