Try your hand at painting with soil watercolors!
Prehistoric humans made their paint from rocks and soil. Today, artists are still making art with these rich
colors. Learn how to make pigments from soils and rocks gathered in our region by Rebecca Schultz during
her artist residency at the Sawtooth SNRA. Participants are welcome to bring a small sample (approximately
one cup) of dry soil to make their own personal batch of watercolor.
