The Jazz Vocal Performance program proudly welcomes Dr. Maria Quintanilla to the Frost School of Music faculty. In her debut concert, Dr. Quintanilla joins all three of our vocal ensembles—JV2, JV1, and Frost Extensions—for an unforgettable evening of vocal jazz. 

The program will feature arrangements of timeless jazz standards and contemporary compositions, alongside explorations into improvisation and extended vocal techniques. The concert also celebrates Dr. Quintanilla’s Peruvian heritage through original works and arrangements that highlight the fusion of traditional Latin American music with the evolving language of jazz. This performance promises a fresh, global take on vocal jazz artistry.
