Wendy Faraone is back by popular demand! This all-new intensive with Disney Channel director Wendy Faraone is designed specifically for students who have worked with her before and are ready for the next level. Dive deeper into the art of comedy performance for television with advanced scene work from comedies and sitcoms. You’ll explore timing, character-driven humor, and on-set techniques used by professional comedic actors in multi-cam and single-cam shows.
Each actor will receive individual coaching and feedback from Wendy, along with playback and critique of their work. The class will focus on refining your comedic instincts, working with scene partners, and adjusting on the fly - just like on a real set.
Scenes will be filmed and shared with each actor for review and continued learning. The workshop concludes with an interactive Q&A with Wendy about working in the industry, callbacks, and what makes actors stand out.
This class is recommended for students who have taken Wendy’s class before or have prior on-camera experience.

ABOUT WENDY:

Wendy Faraone is a dynamic and influential director in television and film. Wendy started out in the industry as an on set acting coach and worked on nearly 300 television episodes. Toward the end of her coaching years, she was honored to be asked to direct "Liv and Maddie" on Disney Channel. After a successful first episode, the network had Wendy pilot a program for women directors, and in the last 7 years she has directed over 100 episodes and 3 pilots. Wendy was the first woman to direct a pilot at Nickelodeon.

Wendy's true passion is in film and single camera work. Recently, Wendy has directed a holiday feature film shot in The Highlands of Scotland titled, "Saving Christmas Spirit." It was sold to AMC and is also streaming on Amazon, Peacock and Tubi. Wendy is on contract to direct a thriller that will be a theatrical release with John C. Hall and Bellator Productions. She has produced and directed a single camera comedy pitch presentation titled, "Lake Tuna" and is in development on 2 different comedies as well as 3 more feature films. Wendy is thrilled to be playing a major role in changing the percentage of women directors in Hollywood, and she succeeds with every opportunity given to her.
