Based on the real-life Newsboy protest of 1899, the musical follows Jack Kelly, the leader of the Newsies who helps form a union in protest against the price of newspapers being raised. This production of Newsies is about trans joy, love, and celebrating the history of labor, race, and disability in New York City.
