Alphabet Soup: An Original 10-Minute Play Written & Directed by Delaney Amelia Grimes Alphabet Soup is a short-form original play presented as a one-night-only engagement at Suffolk University's Modern Theatre. This entirely student-run production marks Delaney Amelia Grimes’s playwriting and directorial debut as well as serving as her Senior Capstone project. A Princeton University award–winning work, the play uses the alphabet as a witty, comedic framework to explore youth, communication, and intimacy. There will be a talkback with the creative team immediately following the performance. They will discuss the process behind the work, its journey from early drafts to a Boston premiere, and the experience of creating an original piece from the ground up.
Following the talkback, guests are invited to stay through the end of the event for a post-show reception and premiere celebration in the Modern Theatre lobby, featuring light refreshments, themed festivities, and an opportunity to celebrate the cast, crew, and the culmination of this Capstone project.
