Experience the artistry of mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato and violinist Augustin Hadelich in a concert full of orchestral color and excitement!

Don’t miss the world premiere of American composer Matthew Aucoin’s first symphony. An AMFS co-commission, this new orchestral work features a major vocal part for the Grammy Award–winning mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato.

The incomparable Augustin Hadelich performs Barber’s only Violin Concerto, a piece overflowing with lyric beauty in the first two movements and delivering a big dose of adrenaline in the dazzling, perpetual-motion conclusion.

Enescu’s first Romanian Rhapsody also begins with one captivating melody after another before taking off with a frenzied finale that will make you want to get up and dance.

DVOŘÁK: Carnival Overture, B 169, op. 92
MATTHEW AUCOIN: Two Thresholds (Symphony) (World premiere, AMFS co-commission)
---
BARBER: Violin Concerto, op. 14
ENESCU: Romanian Rhapsody in A major, op. 11, no. 1
